Summer is an exciting time of the year. During this time of holidays, Czechs enjoy attending camps and this proves to be a great opportunity to build relationships and share the Gospel with Czechs. Throughout the Czech Republic, English and sports camps will be offered by many Christian organizations. Join in us prayer as we ask God to move in a mighty way bringing many Czechs to salvation in Christ.

Prayers:

1. Thank God for Vysoke Myto Baptist Church. After one year of partnership, the leadership has decided to extend for another year of work in reaching students and families in our city. It has been our joy and an encouragement to work with national Czech Christians.

 

2. Vysoke Myto and we are hosting 4 English camps in the mountains this summer. Please pray specifically for students attending these camps.

• July 11-18 Youth English Camp 1, Vysoke Myto, 45 Czechs attending
• July 19-24 Youth English Camp 2, Vysoke Myto, 20 Czechs attending
• July 18-24 Youth English Camp, Jablonec Nad Nisou, 17 Czechs attending
• August 2-8 Family Camp, V.Myto, 65 Czechs attending
 

3. Friday, July 3, we will be having a grill party at our house. Pray for the women in Ginger’s English class and their families who will attend. Pray for the salvation of Olga, Iva, Katka, and their husbands and 6 children.

 

4. Mike and Wendi Young have moved to Brno and are partnering with the Czech Baptist Church in Brno in a new church plant. Wendi will also be having surgery on her ankle on July 7 in Budapest. Pray for wisdom for the doctors and a quick recovery.

 

5. Larry and Melissa Lewis are now in Plzen. Pray for their family as they help start new work in Plzen as well as minister in several English camps during the summer.
